Field Safety
This app is used by the Department of Earth Sciences at Western University to manage field safety plans.
What is a Field Safety Plan?
A field safety plan is a detailed document outlining the purpose of a field trip, departure and return dates, participant details, and safety precautions. It must be submitted and approved before the trip takes place.
How It Works
- ☑ A faculty member creates a field safety plan, fills in all required details, adds participants, and submits it.
- ☑ A Program Administrator reviews the plan.
- ☑ Once reviewed, participants view and sign the plan. Before signing, they must provide emergency contact and insurance details.
- ☑ After all participants have signed, the Department Chair makes a final decision to approve or reject the plan.
